CivicForumPAC: Princella Smith is a new kind of candidate. The right kind.

May 12th

If you were 26 years old and lived in Arkansas’ 1st Congressional District, you probably wouldn’t know anything other than Democratic Congressmen existed.  The last time a Republican held a seat there in “The Delta?” — 1875.

That’s right, 135 years ago — the same year  as the inaugural Kentucky Derby, Alexander Graham Bell’s first voice transmission, and the 3rd year of Ulysses S. Grant’s second term as President.

It was a long time ago.

This year, though, there’s a 26 year-old woman who’s going to change that Arkansan reality.

Meet Princella Smith.

If elected, Smith would be an astonishing 66 years younger than the oldest member of Congress, Senator Robert Byrd (WV), but it’s not just a fresh face she’s offering to her potential constituents.

She’s on the right side of the issues, especially on how to grow the economy:

I support legislation to give small businesses the flexibility to grow and prosper without dealing with one-size-fits-all regulations.  I support lowering margins taxes and payroll taxes so that employers can keep more workers and invest in our communities.  I support insurance reform that allows employers and employees to buy health insurance across State lines and I support a comprehensive energy plan that reduces our burden on foreign oil.

Add Smith’s incredibly-relatable communications style and prior experience (she’s served as a spokeswoman for the likes of Newt Gingrich), and you’ve got one seriously strong candidate.

Keep an eye out for this lady.
